The Story
Inspired by his 1982 trip to Japan, Guan Shanyue created this vivid landscape in 1983. Guan Shanyue was a leading master of the Lingnan School of Chinese painting, famous for his innovative and expressive landscape art.He devoted his life to sketching from nature and blending traditional Chinese art with modern artistic ideas. The work uses vivid colours and powerful brushstrokes to vividly portray the flowing stream and floating rafts.It highlights the bright autumn scenery with rich layers of ink, fully showing the unique artistic charm of the Lingnan School.
