Our Promise
Authenticity Guarantee
We do not source at volume. We do not work with intermediaries. Every work on Kiln & Ink is acquired directly from the artist or their authorised studio — and documented from the moment of creation.
This is art meant to endure. We guarantee it.
Direct Artist Sourcing
We visit studios across China — Jingdezhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou — and acquire works in person. No agents. No auction house lots. No uncertain provenance chains.
Certificate of Authenticity
Every purchase includes a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and countersigned by Kiln & Ink. It records the work's title, date, medium, dimensions, and edition number where applicable.
Documented at Origin
We maintain a provenance file for every work: studio visit records, photographs of the work in creation, and written artist statements. This is available to any collector on request.
Certified Cultural Inheritors
Many of our artists hold formal recognition as inheritors of intangible cultural heritage — a designation issued by China's Ministry of Culture. Their works carry institutional standing as well as artistic merit.
Limited in Production
We do not list open editions or mass-produced works. Every ceramic, print, and painting on Kiln & Ink is either unique or part of a strictly controlled limited edition, documented with edition numbers.
Lifetime Provenance Support
If you ever wish to resell, insure, donate, or have a work independently appraised, we provide written provenance confirmation at no charge — for the lifetime of your ownership.
If You Ever Have Doubts
In the extremely unlikely event that a work purchased from Kiln & Ink is found not to be authentic, we will refund the full purchase price including original shipping — no questions asked. This guarantee carries no expiry date.
